High Commissioner takes part in closing session of 2021–2022 Youth National Council

23 March 2022

On 23 March 2020, the High Commissioner took part in the closing session of the 2021–2022 Youth National Council. The 12 young Monegasques on the Youth National Council have worked hard for a year on three projects to improve the lives of children and teenagers in the Principality, and have produced projects and resolutions and potentially initiated new draft laws.

During the session, the High Commissioner was asked to engage with the young council members and representatives as part of their work on education. She was pleased to note that their draft resolution on wellbeing in school incorporated provisions intended to make schooling more inclusive.

In the large chamber, under the watchful eye of those who had supervised them for a year as well as President of the National Council Stéphane Valeri and Marc Mourou, Chair of the Committee on Education, Young People and Sport, the young members presented their draft resolutions, which were adopted unanimously, on three key subjects: protection of the environment, wellbeing in school and the introduction of new activities for young people.
